Teaching/Service
Teaching: I have taught the following courses at UC Berkeley as a Graduate Student Instructor (TA):
EEP 118: Introductory Applied Econometrics (Undergraduate - J. Magruder) Fall 2020 & 2021.
ECON 172: Case Studies in African Economic Development (Advanced undergraduate - E. Miguel) Spring 2021.
DEVP 252: International Poverty and Economic Development (Master's - M. Shah) Spring 2024.
Service: During my PhD, I have been committed to DEIB efforts within my department and the broader Berkeley economics community.
I serve on the ARE department-wide DEI committee and the Pedagogy and Research subcommittee.
I also coordinated the Economists for Equity at Berkeley small grants competition in Fall 2021 and Spring 2022, which provides funding for Berkeley Ph.D. students working on topics related to equity and the welfare of marginalized groups/identities.
I have also served as a mentor in the Graduate Applications International Network (GAIN) program, which supports prospective graduate students from African countries to apply to Master's and Ph.D. programs in economics-related fields.
I have mentored three undergraduate students as part of UC Berkeley's SPUR program.
